9/22 Old Rectory Cottage


Shown on O.S. map as The Old Rectory.
Cottage. Late C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
with painted brick infill on high painted uncoursed rubble plinth; machine
tile roof. 2-cell plan. One storey and attic. Framing: single square and
rectangular panels below eaves. Late C19 fenestration; 3-light segmental-
headed casement to left of C20 gabled timber porch and small casement to
right, prominent C20 gabled eaves dormer to left of centre. Large internal
end stack to right with dripstone and capping. Lower C19 addition to right.
Interior: not inspected but noted as having chamfered spine beam and joists
to left ground-floor room. Formerly the rectory to Church of All Saints
(q.v.). Included for group value.
