Farmhouse, now house. C.1800 remodelling of earlier building with
later alterations. Red brick, plain tile roof. 3-bay baffle-entry
plan. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic, dentilled eaves cornice; segmental-
headed mid-C19 casements, one on each floor to either side of late
C19 gabled brick porch with round-headed outer arch and 6-panel inner
door. Prominent central ridge stack. Lower gabled brick range to
rear with external end stack has brick outshut to right. Interior:
chamfered spine beam with ogee stops and heavy joists to left ground-
floor room, which has large brick inglenook fireplace with chamfered
wooden lintel. Short oak winder staircase in rear range has carved
splat balusters to first floor; oak staircase to attic approached through
plank and muntin door with pointed strap hinges. Included for group
value.
