Farmhouse. C17, extended and eaves raised late C18 with mid C19 additions and alterations. Timber framed with red brick infill, rebuilding and additions; slate roofs. Original house apparently of three or four framed bays, extended to left 1778 (date stone) and eaves raised simultaneously; shorter parallel range to south added mid C19. Two storeys.
Framing: fragmentary square panels, probably originally four from cill to wall plate with short straight tension braces; ground floor largely rebuilt in brick to north. Irregular fenestration; two C20 casements directly below eaves to left and similar opening to right; C19 segmental-headed casement to left of boarded door and wide C20 casement to right, cutting blocked segmental-headed opening; wide inserted recess to right. Brown brick ridge stack to left at junction with C18 addition. This addition has segmental-headed boarded door and date stone "1778" to gable end.
C19 range to south of two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice; three window front, segmental-headed casements with internal shutters. Central entrance; plain pilastered doorcase with bracketed flat hood, panelled reveals and six-panel door with rectangular barred overlight. Integral end stacks.
Interior: left ground-floor room has chamfered ceiling beam. Bay over recess has original Queen-strut truss to left and a truncated integral end stack to right.
