House, now inn. Probably mid-C18 with mid-C19 additions and alterations.
Reddish brown brick, roughcast to front and gable ends; plain tile
roof. Original baffle-entry plan of 3 framed bays extended to right
by 2 bays in C19 (see straight joint to rear). 2 storeys; 5-window
front, late C19 casements directly below eaves with 2 similar casements
to left and one to right of late C19 gabled porch; subsidiary segmental-
headed boarded door to right. Prominent rendered ridge stack to left
of porch with second ridge stack to right of centre and small external
end stack to right. Interior: large stack to C18 part with position
of former door directly in front; chamfered spine beam to right with
heavy joists.
