Barn. Late C17 with later alterations. Weatherboarded timber frame;
corrugated iron roof. Scattered eaves hatches and doorways including
wide full-height double doors in third bay from left on north side.
Interior: framing renewed, square and rectangular panels. Full
inspection not possible at time of resurvey (September 1986) but staggered
single-purlin roof apparently in 10 or 11 bays has mixture of collar and
tie beam trusses and raking struts from tie beams to principal rafters.
Loft for most of length. The barn is prominently sited and runs along
the north side of the churchyard of the Church of St. Swithun (q.v.).
