Farmhouse, now house. C17 with later additions and alterations. Roughcast
timber frame on rubblestone plinth with uncoursed limestone rubble addition
to left; slate roof. Original house of 4 framed bays with stack in wide
second bay from left and entrance to front forming baffle entry; left bay
added in C18 and stack removed in late C20. One storey and attic. C20
casements, 3 to left and 2 to right of contemporary gabled porch; 2 late
C20 gabled eaves dormers. Gable to rear also timber framed beneath rough-
cast. Large stepped rubblestone stack with painted brick top, also to
rear, at junction between C17 and C18 parts. Interior: ground-floor rooms
have chamfered spine beams, those in room to right with straight-cut stops
and exposed joists. Single-purlin roof in 5 bays with mixture of queen-
strut trusses (some with V-struts from collars) and raking struts from tie
beams to principal rafters.
