Barn. Mid-C17, eaves raised C19 with later alterations. Corrugated-iron
clad timber frame; corrugated-iron roof. Original 4-bay threshing barn with
eaves raised and left bay converted to vehicle entrance in C19. Three wide
rectangular openings with hatches and wide vehicle entrance in left bay. INTERIOR:
framing visible: square panels, three from cill to original wall plate, with
rectangular panel above to raising of eaves. Long straight tension braces
to bay divisions. Lateral stone steps to left wall of vehicle entrance.
Roof has mixture of collar and tie-beam trusses with v-struts from collars
and raking struts from tie beams to principal rafters. Included for group
value.
