Farmhouse. Probably mid-and late C17, extended mid-C19 with later additions
and alterations. Uncoursed limestone rubble with late C20 brick possibly
replacing timber frame to right gable end and rear; asbestos slate and slate
roofs. Original house probably of 2 or 3 framed bays, extended to left in
late C17 and to rear on left in mid-C19 forming present L-plan. 2 storeys
and attic. Three C19 casements to left and one C20 casement to right directly
below eaves and three C20 casements to ground floor, second window from left
in position of former doorway. Segmental-headed half-glazed door to right
in position of former window. C20 flat-roofed dormer in roof slope to left.
Integral end stack with red brick shaft to left and prominent extruded external
lateral rubblestone stack with red brick shaft to centre on rear. Straight
joint visible to front between first and second windows from left. Interior.
Inspection not possible at time of resurvey (September 1986) but likely to
be of interest. Included for group value.
