2/3 Saplins Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Early to mid-C18 with later additions and alterations.
Rendered red brick on rubblestone plinth, plain tile roof and external
end stacks, stepped to left. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic, wide floor
band carried round left and right returns; late C19 casements with
segmental heads to either side of central entrance with mid-C20 door.
Interior: C18 winder staircase with carved splat balusters to first
flight; several C18 plank and muntin doors (one formerly leading to
cellar) with fleur-de-lys strap hinges, chamfered ceiling beams on
ground floor.
