Former barn and attached cow house. Probably mid-to late C18. Weatherboarded and corrugated-iron-clad timber frame on high C20 red brick plinth; corrugated-iron roof. Three framed bays.

Framing: widely-spaced studs with long straight tension braces. West front: central C20 casement and unglazed opening off-centre to right; pair of flanking two-leaf boarded doors. Cow house to right of coursed yellow sandstone rubble with brick dressings and slate roof. Two storeys; toothed brick eaves cornice; small loft window to right and boarded loft door of off centre-to left, ground floor window off-centre to left and pair of two-leaf boarded doors; former dovecote in right-hand gable end with blocked ntrances and ledges.

Interior of barn: tie-beam roof trusses with raking struts; single staggered purlins; cross frames with central posts and evidence of former angle and tension braces. Included for group value.
