House, now divided. Dated 1664; C20 additions at rear. Timber framed
on rubblestone plinth with painted brick nogging; plain tile roof. T-
shaped baffle-entry plan of 2 framed bays with porch to south. One
storey and attic. Framing: square panels (3 from sole-plate to wall-
plate) with long straight tension braces; porch with some possibly later
(C18) light framing. Central brick ridge stack; gabled eaves dormer to
right with 2-light wooden casement. 2 ground-floor 3-light C19 wooden
casements; central 2-storey gabled porch with one-light C20 attic
casement, ground-floor 2-light C20 wooden casement, and C20 panelled
door in right-hand return front; C20 gabled brick porch to left with
cross-casement to front and 2-leaf boarded door in right-hand return
front. Porch has exposed collar truss with V-struts, and painted date.
Gable ends have exposed collar and tie-beam trusses with queen-struts and
V-struts. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest. V.C.H.
