made of Berwick House (q.v.) and its surroundings in 1760 by Thomas Ansell
shows a house on the site of Home Farmhouse, marked as "The Tennants House".
It appears to be of an early C18 date (Berwick House is dated 1731),so the
present building, assuming the accuracy of the map, must have replaced the
earlier one sometime after 1760. Shropshire Libraries map collection
(photocopy of Berwick map).
