- house approx. 55 metres to
north-west of Fitz Manor

GV II

Barn and horse engine house. Late C18 or early C19. Timber framed with
brick nogging and red sandstone ashlar with herringbone tooling.
Corrugated asbestos roof. Narrow vents to south-east and lozenge vents
to north-west. Boarded loft and stable doors. Cart entry at south-west
end. Polygonal horse engine house projecting to north-west with red
sandstone piers and hipped graded slate roof. Interior of barn with king-
post trusses and the interior of horse engine house still retains its central
spindle, a rare survival. This barn is no longer associated with Fitz
Manor (q.v.) and now forms part of Manor Farm.
