Stable and granary. Mid-C18. Red brick on dressed red sandstone plinth,with graded slate roof (C20 asbestos slates to rear). T-plan. Two storeys and loft with 2-storey wing to rear. Parapeted gable ends. Two bays to front; segmental-headed wooden cross windows. Segmental-headed boarded door to right. Right-hand gable end with plat band and boarded loft doors to first floor and attic. Interior not inspected. This was formerly the stable block to Alderton Hall
(q.v.) nearby. The front wall appears to have been rebuilt at some time in the C18 (see straight joint to side).
