Shown on O.S. map as The Cottage.
Cottage. Late C17. Timber framed with plastered infill on brick plinth.
Graded slate roof. Framing: light rectangular panels (3 from sole plate
to wall plate) with long straight and curved tension braces. One storey
and attic with 2-storey rear wing. L-plan; 2 framed bays with one framed
bay rear wing. South-east front. rendered external brick end stack to
left. Gabled eaves dormer off-centre to left with C20 three-light wooden
casement. Ground-floor C20 three-light wooden casement to left. C20
glazed door to right with gabled timber framed porch. C19 two-light,
wooden basement casement to left. Right-hand gable end has collar and
tie-beam truss with queen struts. Outshut at rear with catslide roof.
Rear wing with 2-window front to north-east; C19 and C20 wooden and
metal casements, and central C20 glazed door with gabled porch. External
brick lateral stack in angle at rear with small slate-roofed bread oven to
side. Interior not inspected.
