Pair of cottages, now one. Probably late C17, remodelled in late C18/early
C19, probably by John Nash. Timber framed with painted brick infil,
rendered to front; thatched roof. Probably 2 framed bays, remodelled in
the Gothick style. One storey and attic. Integral brick end stacks;
central eyebrow eaves dormer with segmental-headed 2-light diamond-leaded casement.
2-window front; 2-light diamond-leaded ogee-headed casements with Y-tracery;
pair of central boarded doors. Part of a picturesque village scheme including
Nos.3-6 (consec), Atcham (q.v.). Nigel Temple, A Recent Discovery at
