Part of vicarage, now house. Early C19 with fenestration altered in mid-
to late C20. Red brick with some stone dressings; plain tile 2-span roof.
2 storeys. Plinth, dentil brick eaves cornice, and coped parapeted gable
ends; small C20 diamond-shafted stack on front range off-centre to right,
triple and single diamond-shafted stacks on ridge at rear. 4 bays;
glazing bar sashes (mostly C20 copies); gabled porch in second bay from
right with coped verge parapet, 4-centred arched entrance with pair of C19
boarded doors, and C20 glazing bar sashes in sides. Gabled 2-bay north
front. Interior: ground-floor front room to left has trefoiled Gothic
frieze and moulded cornice similar to details by John Nash at Longner
Hall (q.v.). Old phtographs show that the house formerly had a probably
late C19 canted Gothic bay window to north and probably early C19 windows
at rear with Y-tracery, all replaced in the C20 alterations. The house
was part of a larger vicarage, now divided from The Vicarage Cottage (q.v.).
