Pair of canal-workers' houses. Late C18 or early C19. Timber framed with
rendered infil panels; hipped slate roof with deep eaves and central brick
ridge stack. 2 storeys. Framing: light frame, 3 square panels from cill
to wall-plate; tension braces. 4 windows to first floor, wooden-framed
small-paned 2-light casements; half-glazed door off-centre to left; lean-
to to right with half-glazed door to front. Included as an example of the
late use of timber framing in a building associated with the now disused
