Forecourt walls, gate piers and gate approximately 20 metres to east of Longner Hall

Forecourt walls, gate piers and gate. Circa 1803, probably by John Nash.
Red sandstone ashlar. L-plan, approximately 80 metres long; returning
to north-east with gate piers. Moulded plinth and chamfered coping,
ramped up to west. Square piers with moulded plinths, arched-panelled
sides, and pyramidal caps. Centre part of each section balustraded with
4-centred arched arcading. Solid return wall to north-east has pair of
octagonal gate piers with moulded plinths, battlemented pyramidal caps, and
3-bar wooden gate between. Humphry Repton landscaped the grounds at
Longner circa 1803-4 and his Red Book is kept in the house.
