9/96 Dorrington House


House. Circa 1800 probably incorporating an earlier house, later additions
and alterations. Red brick, slate roofs, hipped to front and concealed by
a coped stone parapet, end stacks. Long low 2-storey range to rear probably
part of an C18 house to which a 3-bay canted facade was added c.1800. 3
storeys, 3-window front, mid-C19 cross-paned sashes with gauged heads
(c.1800); central entrance, mid-C19 half-glazed door with Gothic glazing
to rectangular overlight (c.1800) under projecting C20 glazed porch.
