4/172 The Middle House


House. Circa 1800 with later additions and alterations. Red brick, slate
roof with raised verges and integral end stacks. 2 storeys and gable-lit
attic; dentilled eaves cornice; 3-window front, all glazing bar sashes
with segmental heads (20-paned on ground floor); central entrance, plain
pedimented doorcase with fanlight and 6-panel raised and fielded door.
Mid-C20 lean-to extension to left.
