Farmhouse. Probably late C15 or C16 with C17 alterations, re-modelled in
mid- to late C19. Painted brick and pebbledash concealing timber frame,
plain tile roof. Irregular plan, probably originating as an open hall with
cross-wing to east. 2 storeys and attics; the front has 3 gables, one to
left and 2 projecting to right, the small central gable being a former 2-
storey porch, all have carved bargeboards and pointed finials; 1:1:1
windows, late C19 casements with contemporary attic windows to 2 principal
gables; entrance through late C19 gabled brick porch projecting from left-
hand corner, C17 nail-studded door (not in its original position); reddish-
brown brick lateral stacks to right-hand end and behind to left with a mid-
C20 brown brick stack in roof slope to centre; projecting purlin ends and
wall plates to gables and exposed wall post behind to left. Interior: massive
