Cottage. C18, probably incorporating C17 parts. Rendered timber
frame, largely rebuilt in roughly coursed grey sandstone rubble; plain
tile roof. One-room plan. One storey and gable-lit attic. Integral
dressed sandstone. Stack to north-west with projecting courses at
top and weathering at base. South-west front: small 2-light wooden
casement to left and boarded door to right; small 2-light wooden attic
casement in each gable end. Lean to rubblestone addition to right
with small integral stack and 2-light wooden-framed metal casement
to front. Interior: one ground-floor room and 2 attic rooms; open
fireplace with range; winder staircase between stack and north-east
wall. A complete example of a small one-unit cottage.
