Small country house. Late C17, extended and remodelled probably in the
mid-C19. Red brick with grey sandstone ashlar dressings; plain tile
roof. H-plan; late C17 cross-wing to south-east, extended to north-
west. 2 storeys with 2-storey and attic cross-wings. Chamfered stone-
topped plinth, dentil brick floor bands and stone quoins to C17 wing;
stone coped parapeted gable ends with globe finials at feet and apexes;
brick ridge stack off-centre to right with dentil brick band, brick
ridge stack to left-hand cross-wing, and external lateral brick stack
to right-hand cross-wing. 1:3:1 bays; mid- to late C19 wooden cross-
windows with leaded lights and gauged brick heads, flat-topped ground-
floor canted bays to cross-wings ; pair of leaded half-glazed doors in
second bay from right with hipped leaded porch on wrought iron brackets.
Interior: late C17 dog-leg staircase with closed string, turned
balusters, moulded handrail, and square newel posts with carved guilloche
ornament and globe finials; otherwise mainly early to mid-C19 fittings
including panelled architraves with corner paterae. Small late C19
cast iron pump fixed to north-west wall with plain shaft and spout, and
