Pair of cottages. Mid- to late C17 with C20 additions. Timber framed
with painted brick nogging on painted sandstone rubble plinth; plain
tile roof. 2 framed bays. One storey and attic over basement to north-
west. 3 gabled eaves dormers with 2-light wooden casements; large
diagonally-placed integral lateral brick stack to front off-centre to
left, and C19 integral brick end stack with 2 diagonal shafts. Framing:
square panels, 3 from sole-plate to wall-plate. 3-window front; C19
and C20 one- and 2-light wooden casements; half-glazed door between
first and second windows from right. C20 flat-roofed one-storey painted
brick addition to right. Exposed collar and tie-beam truss in left-hand
gable end with queen struts and V-struts; boarded basement door beneath.
C20 additions at rear of left-hand cottage with present entrance.
