Circa C17 timber-framed cottage range. Fronted in red brick and eaves heightened in
circa early C19. Timber-framing exposed at gable ends. Low-pitched tarred slate
roof with brick dentil eaves. Two storeys. Four window range. Two light casements,
ground floor in segmental-headed openings. Simple gabled hoods on shaped brackets,
No 40 glazed door, No 42 has plank door. C19 brick ridge chimney stacks.
