- and attached farmbuildings


House, now divided and farmbuildings. Early to mid-C17 with c.1700
addition and late C20 alterations. Timber framed with painted brick
nogging on C20 brick plinth. Plain tile roofs. Framing: square
panels (3 from sole plate to wall plate) with long straight tension
braces. T-plan; C17 L-plan range of 3 framed bays with c.1700 bay
to east. One storey and attic. North front: pair of C17 timber
framed eaves dormers to north with C20 three-light casements, jettied
gables with carved bressumers and small brackets, that to right has
square panel with quatrefoil in gable and that to left has panelled
diagonal struts in gable; small gabled eaves dormer to left with C20
casement. Brick ridge stacks off-centre to right. 3-window front;
C20 three-light wooden casements. C20 doors to right and between
first and second windows from left. Jettied gable end to right with
quarter-round moulded bressumer and truss with double collars and
queen struts. Rear: C17 timber framed wing to right with gabled
eaves dormer; C19 lean-to addition in angle to left. Interior not
inspected. Farmbuildings adjoining to south. C17 with C18 and C19
alterations. Timber framed with red brick nogging, partly rebuilt in
red brick; plain tile-roof. One storey and loft. Gabled loft dormer
to west. Various inserted C20 windows. Segmental-headed doorways,
some blocked. Large C20 openings to left and right.
