House. Mid-C17 with mid- to late C19 alterations and additions. Timber
framed with plastered infill panels, partly rebuilt and enlarged in
rendered masonry and enlarged in red brick; plain tile roofs. Framing:
small square panels, 3 from sole plate to wall plate. Baffle-entry
plan of one long and one short framed bay with flush gabled cross wing
to right of one framed bay. One storey and attic. Underbuilt formerly
jettied cross wing gable to right with moulded bressumer, close studding
and C20 three-light wooden casement. 2 gabled eaves dormers to left
with 2-light wooden casements. Central brick ridge stack with shafting.
3-window front; C20 one- and 2-light wooden casements. Central C18
door with 6 raised and fielded panels and C19 bracketed gabled porch.
Collar and tie-beam truss in left-hand gable to left with queen struts
and V-struts. Probably C19 one-storey addition to right with C20 two-
light wooden casement to front, dentil-brick eaves cornice and external
brick end stack. Late C19 wing at rear of one storey and attic. Interior:
chamfered and stopped beams. 2 large open fireplaces with chamfered
and stopped lintels, C17 winder stairs at rear of stack. C17 panelled
door to cupboard adjacent to stack with reeded frieze and strap hinges.
