Farmhouse. Early C18. Red brick with sandstone dressings; two span slate roof. Double-depth plan. Two storeys and gable-lit attic. Chamfered red sandstone plinth, moulded stone eaves cornice and stone-coped parapeted gable ends with moulded stone kneelers. Two brick stacks behind front ridge and brick stack at rear.

South front: 2:1:2 bays; glazing bar sashes with painted moulded stone cills and painted segmental stone lintels which each have raised faceted keystones with moulded tops. Central half-glazed door with three lower flush panels, and early C19 doorcase with reeded pilaster strips and architrave, and moulded cornice.

Late C19 gabled brick porch with chamfered plinth and dentil brick eaves cornice and verges. Pair of half-glazed doors with keyed segmental lintel. Narrow glazing bar sash to each side with keyed segmental lintels. Left-hand gable end with segmental-headed four-pane attic sash, two first floor glazing bar sashes and central ground floor early C19 French casements with three-part rectangular overlight and surround with reeded pilaster strips and cornice. Right-hand gable end with two segmental-headed attic glazing bar sashes.

Rear: formerly three bays, now two; segmental-headed glazing bar sashes. Boarded door to right. The rear range only extends for approximately half the length of the house. The north-west corner appears to have been intended (see projecting bricks) but was never built. C18 one-storey service wing projecting to south-east with plinth, dentil brick eaves cornice and integral lateral brick stack. Two- and three-light segmental-headed wooden casements.

Interior not inspected but various features noted. Entrance hall with staircase. Right-hand ground floor room has tall raised and fielded panelling with dado rail and coved cornice. Left-hand ground-floor room has panelling with giant order of pilasters and segmental niches flanking fireplace. Internal window shutters.
