House. Mid- to late C17 with late C20 alterations and additions. Timber
framed with painted brick nogging on dressed red sandstone plinth; enlarged
in brick painted to represent framing. Plain tile roof. Framing: small
square panels (3 from sole plate to wall plate) with long straight tension
braces. 2 framed bays with addition. One storey and attic. West front:
large C17 timber framed gabled eaves dormer off-centre to left with
pair of C20 two-light wooden casements and collar and tie-beam truss
with queen struts and small gabled eaves dormer off-centre to right
with 2-light wooden casement. C20 brick stack in front of ridge to
right. 2 windows; 2- and 3-light C20 wooden casements. Left-hand gable
end has collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and V-struts. Entrance
in left-hand gable end too. Four C20 gabled dormers and C20 lean-to
at rear. Interior not inspected.
