CHILD'S ERCALL C.P., CAYNTON

Stables and cartshed approx. 25 metres to north-west of Wood Farmhouse.

Stables and cartshed. Circa 1800. Red brick with plain tile roof. Two
storeys. Dentil brick eaves cornice and crowstepped parapeted gable ends with
slightly corbelled brick coping. East front: 2:3 bays. First floor
segmental-headed 2-light wooden casement and boarded loft door to left. Ground-
floor segmental-headed slatted window and boarded door to left. Inserted C20
sliding door to left. Three segmental-headed cart openings to right; brick piers
with rounded copings and stone plinths. Breathers in left-hand gable end.
Interior not inspected. The first floor was possibly formerly partly used as
a granary.
