Milestone. Late C18 with early C19 alterations. Red sandstone with
cast-iron plates. Triangular section on square base. Attached segmental-
headed cast-iron plates with superscribed serif lettering: "TO/CHESTER/
34/MILES" (left-hand side) and "T0/NEWPORT/6 MILES" (right-hand side).
Rectangular plate to base lettered: "HINSTOCK". The cast plates are probably
early C19 additions as earlier inscriptions are just visible in the stone
behind them. Holly House is not included on this list.
