north of New House Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, now stables. Mid-C17 with late c19 alterations. Timber framed
on brick plinth, with red brick nogging and vertical matchboarding.
End walls rebuilt in red brick. Plain tile roof. Framing: square
panels (3 from sole plate to wall plate) with long straight tension
braces. Slatted windows and boarded openings. Boarded stable-type
doors. Inserted floor. Included for group value.
