Nos. 9 and 10


Cottages, now divided. Mid-C17 with alterations and additions dated 1937.
Timber framed with painted brick nogging, extended in painted brick. Plain
tile roof. Framing: small square panels (3 from sole plate to wall plate)
with short corner braces. L-plan. One long and one short framed bay
with additions. One storey and attic. Pair of large c.1937 hipped eaves
dormers with 3-light leaded metal casements. Large brick ridge stack off-
centre to right and external brick end stack to left. 6-window front;
one-and 2-light c.1937 leaded casements. Boarded door to left with hipped-
roofed bracketed wooden porch. Left-hand gable end has collar and tie-
beam truss with queen struts. Right-hand gable end with ground-floor bay
dated: "GCB 1937 WHW". Door to right. Three C20 hipped dormers at rear.
Interior not inspected.
