ADDERLEY C.P.
ADDERLEY,
Sundial approx. 40 metres to north of nave of Church of Saint Peter

GV

II

Sundial. Probably C18. Red sandstone. Square base with two steps,
tapered square shaft with chamfered corners, cubic dial block with wrought-iron gnomons and globe finial. It is probable that this sundial
incorporates parts (e.g. the shaft) of a former medieval churchyard or village
cross. T. Wedgwood, notes on Adderley Church (1982), p. 2.
