SJ 6633-6733 MARKET DRAYTON C.P. -

12/21 Walkmill Bridge
II

Bridge. Dated 1783, with mid-C19 alterations. Dressed red sandstone.
Single elliptical arch with raised keystone and voussoirs with stepped extrados.
Abutments with canted retaining walls. Parapet raised by one course in
the C19 and chamfered coping replaced or added. Keystone on downstream
side inscribed: "I.S. Fecit 1783". Anthony Blackwall, Historic Bridges
