House and shop. Early C19. Painted brick, left-hand gable end partly
rendered. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attic. Dentil brick
eaves cornice. Pair of gabled eaves dormers with 2-light wooden casements.
Integral brick end stacks, right-hand rebuilt c.1900. Two-window front;
first-floor glazing bar sashes (4 x 3 panes) with slightly segmental
heads and painted stone cills. Pair of early C19 shop windows: flat-
roofed square bays,each with rendered base and frieze and plain cornice
(boarded opening below right-hand bay). Central half-glazed door (2
lower flush panels)with simple doorcase consisting of moulded architrave,
cornice band and overdoor with triangular-pedimented top. Interior
not inspected but probably reused chamfered beams were noted. This
building appears to have been purpose-built (or rebuilt) as a shop.
