House, now public house. C17, remodelled in the early to mid-C19.
Red brick with plain tile roof. One storey and attic. Large gable to
right has two 4-pane sashes with painted stone cills and lintels. Gabled
eaves dormer to left with 3-light wooden casement. Brick end stacks
shared with neighbouring buildings (see also Nos. 49 and 53). Ground
floor partly rebuilt in late C20 with pair of flat-roofed square bays
and central half-glazed door with mid-C19 surround and scrolled brackets
supporting C20 flat hood. Interior of no special interest. Included
for group value.
