House, now offices. Early C19, incorporating C17 core. Red brick
with some painted stone dressings. Plain tile roof. 2-cell baffle-
entry plan. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic over basement. Toothed-
brick eaves cornice. Central brick ridge stack consisting of 2 shafts
flanking central lower part (probably truncated). with 3 round-
arched panels. 1:1:1 bays, central break with painted shaped stone
kneelers and parapeted gable with stone coping; glazing bar sashes
(tripartite to outer bays) with painted stone cills and lintels.
Central 4-panelled door (lower 2 flush) with rectangular overlight
and painted stone Tuscan porch with frieze, moulded cornice and cast-
iron balcony above. Interior only partly inspected. Pairs of C17
ovolo-moulded ceiling beams with ogee stops. Early C19 four-panelled
doors with moulded architraves and internal panelled window shutters.
The house appears to be a C17 two-cell baffle-entry building much
rebuilt in the early C19.
