House. Late C16, restored and extended in the late C19. Timber-framed
with plastered infill on C19 brick plinth and extended in painted brick
with planted timbers to front. Plain-tile roof. Framing: close studding
with middle rail. Central C16 block of one framed bay with later flanking
wings, stepped down to right. Two storeys and attic with one-storey wings.
Jettied first-floor to central block with three large brackets supporting
moulded bressumer and jettied gable with end brackets and ovolo-moulded
tie beam. Line of first-floor bressumer carried in front of flanking
wings by a planted moulded timber. Plain barge boards with finials.
External brick end stack to right and tapered painted brick end stack
to first part of right-hand range. Central first-floor C20 three-light
metal casement. Four ground-floor windows; 2-and 3-light mullioned and
transomed wooden casements. Boarded door in right-hand wing between
second and third windows from right with nail studding and chamfered
surround with broach stops. Interior not inspected.
