Bridge. 1796, parapet slightly raised in 1844. Regularly coursed
and dressed red sandstone. Single segmental arch with keystone; flat
string course and parapet. In 1844 Edward Haycock, County Surveyor,
proposed raising the parapets by a couple of feet, payment for which
was made in December of that year. The bridge spans the River Roden,
which here forms the boundary between Lee Brockhurst C.P. and Wem Rural
C.P. Anthony Blackwall, Historic Bridges of Shropshire, (1985), p.34.
