Group of chest and table tombs. Late C18 to c.1830. Sandstone. Rectangular.
Chest tombs all with moulded plinths and capping; table tombs with plain
top ledgers on squat rectangular pillars. Several of the chest tombs
have fluted pilasters and decorated corner spandrels. Most notable
memorial is to Henry Betty (died 1811); chest tomb with tapering sides
and plain urn finial. The sundial (Scheduled Ancient Monument, County
No. 263) in the centre of the group is not included in this list.
