Pair of cottages, now one. Probably early C18 with later additions
and alterations. Light timber frame with red brick infill and later
rebuilding; corrugated iron over thatch roof. one storey and attic.
Framing: light horizontal rectangular panels to back wall, 4 from cill
to wall-plate, with irregular tie beam and V-struts from collar to right
gable end; C18 and later brick to front and left gable end. Early to
mid-C19 casement-fenestration; leaded fixed-light window to left with
multi-paned cast-iron casement to left of centre; raking eaves dormer
with leaded casement immediately to right. Boarded doors to centre
and right with ridge stack immediately to right of former. Interior:
ground floor has 2 rooms, left with chamfered spine beam and inglenook
fireplace with C19 cast-iron cooking range. Right room also has chamfered
spine beam and C19 grate in fireplace. Early C20 addition at right-
angles to rear on left is not of special architectural interest.
