Cottage. Mid-to late C17 with later additions and alterations, extended
late C20. Timber framed with painted brick infill and additions; slate
roof. Original plan of 2 framed bays, extended to right late C20.
One storey and attic. Framing: square and rectangular panels, 3 from
cill to wall-plate, with short straight tension braces; vertical struts
from tie beam to collar to left gable end. Late C20 casements, one
to right of C17 part, one to left in C20 gabled brick projection and
another to C20 addition; two late C20 gabled eaves dormers, one to
C17 part and another to C20 addition. Neo-Georgian door immediately
to left of right casement in C17 part with reddish brown brick ridge
stack immediately to left. Timber framed lean-to to rear, largely
rebuilt in brick and eaves raised late C20. Late C19 or C20 brick
lean-to to left gable is not of special architectural interest.
