House or part of house, now divided. C15 or C16, altered in the early C19
and mid-C20. Timber framed, of cruck construction, with painted brick
nogging, cement-rendered to front in imitation of framing. Slate roof.
Baffle entry plan of 2 or 3 framed bays, probably formerly part of hall
house. 2 storeys. Roughly central brick ridge stack. 3-window front;
C20 small-paned 2-light wooden casements. Boarded doors between first and
second and second and third windows from right, that to left with gabled
porch and small window to side. Right-hand gable end: exposed framing,
including collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts and V-struts. C20
additions at rear. Interior partly inspected. Full cruck truss in left-
hand end wall with collar and low tie-beam. Left-hand ground-floor room
with large joists and open fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel.
