House, now pair of shops and flats. Early C18 with some C19 alterations.
Rendered, probably over brick, with painted sandstone dressings. Plain
tile roof. 3 storeys. Chamfered quoins, parapet with frieze, moulded
cornice and blocking course with rounded coping, and parapeted gable
ends. Integral brick end stacks, that to right larger and of T-
section, and brick stack in front of ridge off-centre to left. 5 bays;
segmental-headed boxed 4-pane sashes with moulded stone cills, half-H
panels beneath, lintels, and raised keystones with moulded tops. Lead
downpipe between second and third bays from left with moulded semi-circular
rainwater head. Pair of C19 shop-fronts, that to right with plate-glass
windows flanking central recessed glazed doors, deep fascia and panelled
end-pilasters with paired brackets above, and that to right with plate-glass
windows curving around corner to left, recessed glazed door to right, deep
fascia and cornice. Oval tie plate to left of left-hand second-floor
window. Rendered gabled wing, possibly timber framed (see pairs of purlins
and steep roof pitch). Early C19 doorway at rear with doorcase consisting
of incised pilaster strips, entablature and cornice. Interiors not inspected.
