Outbuilding approx. 10m
north-west of Sodylt
Old Hall

Outbuilding. Dated 1719 with front partly rebuilt in early C19. Red
brick on red sandstone block plinth to left gable end and rear, C19 brick
to front; slate roof. Segmental-headed plank door to far right with
segmental-headed centre-hung casement immediately to left; segmental-
headed plank door to left of centre with segmental-headed window immediately
to left. Datestone "1719" to left gable end with hatch directly below;
external end stack to right with single-storey lean-to abutting. Interior.
External end stack has C19 inglenook fireplace with chamfered segmental
wooden lintel and bread oven. Large stone cobbled floor to left room.
Timber framed cross walls supporting trusses. Single-purlin roof in 3
bays with queen struts to inner trusses, left with V-struts from collar;
one straight windbrace. Loft to 2 right bays. Included for group value.
