Barn approx. 15m north-east of Caia Farmhouse

Barn. Late C17 with later additions and alterations. Corrugated-iron
clad timber frame and red brick; corrugated-iron over thatch roof. 2
doorways to left and one to right with wide double doors to left of centre.
Eaves hatches above left doorway and to left of double doors. Interior.
Framing visible: rectangular panels, 2 from cill to wall-plate, and
vertical posts. Straight braces from wall posts to tie beams and 2
square panels under tie beam of first truss from right. Single-purlin
roof in 7 bays with mixture of queen-strut trusses and raking struts from
tie beams to principal rafters. Straight wind braces and original thatching
spars. Inserted loft to right bay. Caia Farmhouse is not included in
this list.
