- attached round-headed
arch-way to left approx.

Barn. Mid-C18 with later additions and alterations. Red brick (Flemish
garden wall bond) with graded slates to front roof slope and corrugated
iron to rear. L-plan comprising 2 ranges of roughly equal length. 2
storeys and gable-lit attic. South range has mixture of glazing bar
sashes, fixed-light windows and segmental-headed casements (some leaded),
blind to lower left, 7 to first floor and 4 to ground floor. Short
section of red brick wall to left has wide recessed round-headed arch-way
leading to courtyard behind. Interior. Inspection of roof structure
not possible at time of resurvey (February 1987) but presence of fireplaces
beneath small brick ridge stacks to left of south range suggests that
building may formerly have been partly domestic. Included for group value.
