ELLESMERE RURAL C.P. HARDWICK

8/119 Grotto approx. 300m
- west of Hardwick Hall
- II
Grotto, now disused. Probably late C18 with minor later alterations.
Roughly coursed sandstone and quartzite rubble, now much overgrown.
Entrances on north and east, former with pointed arch. Interior.
Plain barrel-vaulted 'room' approached through pointed arch on north.
